\n75 years ago in 1939 the first steps in the history of INOR took place. Alfred Brakl emigrated from Austria to Sweden and founded INOR Process AB. Since the very first days the company has been focused on temperature measurement. Initially the company was a sales company distributing temperature assemblies and components.
\nINOR expanded over time and started assembly of instruments and service. In the sixties INOR decided to develop their own temperature transmitter. This development led to a major breakthrough in 1974 when INOR invented and developed the world\u2019s first head-mounted transmitter. The head-mounted temperature transmitter has since then turned into an international standard. The heritage of this has continued with more own-developed high quality transmitters and INOR is today a well renowned brand name all over the world.
\nINOR has been manufacturing temperature assemblies and transmitters since the 1950\u2019s and over the years has acquired an extensive competence in the field of industrial temperature measurement. The product portfolio has increased to include both standard assemblies and unique, special designed instruments in different materials and shapes.
\nIn 1995 INOR became certified according to ISO 9000, which was an important step to further establish INOR as a leading high-quality company.
\nIn 2006 INOR was acquired by the KROHNE Group. The product portfolio and temperature measurement competence was exactly what KROHNE was looking for to further expand their portfolio of high-quality process instruments. The development of INOR has since then been focused on further expansion of the product portfolio and globalising the offer. An example of this is the delivery to the Solana solar plant in Arizona, USA where more than 1,100 measuring points and several unique special sensors and multi points were supplied by INOR. The order included 1,148 OPTITEMP TT 51 transmitters, a HART\u00ae transmitter with SIL2 approvals.
\nIn 2011 the company moved to new facilities allowing for improved process control, more space and larger capacity. At the same time the company changed its name to KROHNE INOR combining the strong brand names of both companies.

Also the demands on organization as well as the system and software development procedures (IEC 61508-1 and -3) are much more stringent in the 2010 version. The certificate is issued by the Swedish Research Institute SP, who is one of the leading authorities in this field.

INOR lands order to the world\u2019s largest Concentrating Solar Power Plant<\/a><\/h4>

Approx. 1100 temperature measuring points in the Solana project will be equipped with INOR\u2019s sensors and transmitters. The Solana Generating Station Project is a 280 MW solar energy plant of so called CSP-typ (Concentrating Solar Power) which is being built outside of Phoenix, Arizona in USA. The plant will be built and owned by Spanish Abengoa Solar and will be the biggest CSP plant in the world. Hen running in full it will be providing power to 70 000 households.
\nWith delivery starting in May 2012, the temperature sensors will be used to control and monitor temperatures in the salt tanks. At night or when sun is not out, the heat energy stored in the salt will be used for continuous power supply to the plant\u2019s customers. Next to heavy-duty industrial sensors, INOR will deliver tailored squid- and multipoint sensors with lengths up to 32 metres. The order also includes over 900 IPAQ 520 temperature transmitters, featuring high accuracy and long-term stability as well as diagnostic and back-up functions for high process safety.
